Hi everyone. Billy has his office in shape and ready for the semester. We spent part of a day arranging his furniture and unpacking books and such that we had shipped up there. Then Billy spent two days and used four writable cd's getting his pc in order. The department bought him a new pc that shipped with Windows Vista on it. Billy sure is not going to use a windows operating system, but he had a real bear of a time getting linux installed and configured (something about a missing driver, then a download that failed...). Billy's work e-mail is: Billy.Harris@dsu.nodak.edu and his work phone is 701-483-2107. He has meetings and training for three days next week, and classes start the following Tuesday.
I have applied online for a position at Baker Boy, and earlier this week I mailed them my resume and a cover letter. It took me a while to find my external hard drive, which is where my resume is. I'll follow up with their HR office on Monday.
Sabrina continues to be a bit jumpy but is slowly getting used to things. I have some great pictures of Billy trying to nap on the sofa and Sabrina trying to get as much petting as possible from him.
The grill is finally assembled. We managed to lose a couple of screws and had to make our umpteenth trip to Ace Hardware. We managed to break the starter button, and the manufacturer is sending us another one. The grill has a backup starter mechanism, but of course it's been way too hot to cook outside. We are planning on grilling hamburgers this weekend.
We've bought a manual lawn mower, and I've cut the grass once, it's easy to use. We have also bought a rake, broom for the garage, and a shovel because there is a hole near the garbage can that we need to fill. We also have ND license plates and drivers licenses. We still need to register the cat and the bike - not sure why....
Somehow I am insured through August 31 by something Billy had at UTC. But Billy has to prove I am who I claim to be, or maybe it's who he claims I am... not sure. Anyway, Billy has until Sept 10 to prove I am me, and if he does that by Sept 10 2009, I will be covered through Aug 31 2009. This is so stupid. It ends Aug 31, yet we have until Sept 10 to sign and return their form.
We are going to Medora tomorrow to listen to an outdoor musical. I think the hay bales are being taken up, or put away, or whatever they do with them. There are no more around town.
That's it for now.
